Antitrust and Competition
At APM & Co. our team prides itself on having played a substantial role in the development of the Competition and Antitrust field in Israel. Leveraging our in-depth knowledge and experience in this field, our attorneys provide clients with comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of antitrust and competition laws.
Acting as legal partner to our clients, we offer comprehensive councel and creative solutions on matters relating to the structure of their business activities, thereby helping boards and management teams avoid antitrust issues all the while protecting their commercial interests.
Among our clients are leading industrial and technological companies, financing consortiums, insurance companies, entrepreneurs and trade associations.
Our antitrust attorneys provide clients with ongoing legal advice, and represent them in their dealings with the Israeli Antitrust Authorities in regards to restrictive arrangements, investigations into cartel and monopoly declarations, administrative proceedings, M&A transactions and joint ventures. We have also accumulated significant experience representing our clients in antitrust private litigation proceedings.
In matters of regulation, our experts are recurrently called upon by the Antitrust Authorities to take part in legislation procedures in the Knesset and its committees. We also initiate revisions to current legislation on behalf of our clients.
The department’s additional activities include the establishment of internal compliance programs for top Israeli organizations, allowing them to ensure antitrust laws are enforced and protecting executives from legal actions. In addition, we are frequently invited by clients to conduct lectures on antitrust matters. This serves as a means to update relevant personnel of ongoing changes in the competition law field and allowing them to take pre-emptive actions.
The attorneys of the Antitrust department accompany the Israeli Manufacturers Association, and as such all unions within, in all competition law matters. Therfore, we play a significant role in the highly influential processes occurring in the Israeli market. This includes the formation of the Manufacturers Association's standing in relation to the Trachtenberg and Kedmi reports.
Among our prestigious clients we also list the Israeli Bar Association whom we represent in all matters regarding antitrust and competition.
Our significant experience in this field includes the following matters:
- Representation of Meitav Investment House and Dash-Apex holdings in a procedure to approve a large scale merger transaction between said entities.
- Representation of Wissotzky in front of the Israeli Antitrust Authority regarding its consideration to declare Wissotzky as a monopoly in the tea market.
